Dear Friends of Zonta,

Zonta International is a global service organization of executives and professionals working together to advance the status of women through service and advocacy.

The Zonta Club of Melbourne relies on our annual events to fund our local projects and to provide scholarships to the talented and deserving women in our area.

In the effort to bring attention to the crime of domestic abuse, in 1991, the Zonta Club of Melbourne renamed Zonta’s Young Women in Public Affairs scholarship to honor Monica Jean Campbell, a high school senior killed by her boyfriend. We established the Monica Jean Campbell Scholarship Fund at The Community Foundation of Brevard. Our hope is to raise enough funds to award the scholarship in perpetuity, regardless of our annual fundraising success.  At this time, we have been successful in raising $20,000. Our goal is $75,000. 

All Zonta club members share a sense of purpose in providing service and educational opportunities to the women of Brevard County, and we realize that many members of the community share our sense of purpose but are not able to become a member of the Zonta Club of Melbourne, so we’ve started an elite group called Friends of Zonta (F.O.Z.). We would like to invite you to join by making a donation to the Monica Jean Campbell Scholarship Fund at The Community Foundation of Brevard, donate professional clothing for the homeless women at the Pridmore Center or Joshua’s Closet, or purchase one of our Historic Melbourne Ornaments at Meehans Office Products or from a Zonta Member. F.O.Z. members will be recognized on our website, in press releases and in other publications. As a F.O.Z. member you will have the privilege of knowing that you helped a local woman achieve her academic goal.
