Nola Theiss became involved in the human trafficking issue through the Zonta Club of Sanibel-Captiva which spearheaded a community effort to form a human trafficking task force with the cooperation of the Lee Country Sheriff’s Office which has since been called a “model of citizen activism”. She was an organizing partner in the National Conference on Human Trafficking held at Florida Gulf Coast University ( FGCU) in February, 2006, and has won numerous awards for her human trafficking work. She has attended and led human trafficking trainings in the United States, the Bahamas and Australia and has written numerous articles on human trafficking at the local, state and international level.

Deputy Chief Robert Schwartz retired in 2005 after having spent over 22 years with the Atlantic City PD.   His tenure in law enforcement has provided him with the opportunity to experience and serve as an officer, supervisor and commander of all major police units and divisions, and at times serving as Acting Chief of Police during the Chief of Police’s absence. Having been an instructor for the New Jersey RCPI, Bob now teaches for the Florida RCPI in several areas.
