The Zonta Club of
Melbourne Area was chartered on December 1, 1983. Melbourne's
Zontians opened their ears and hearts to the needs of the community.
This caring attitude is reflected in its many service projects.
Currently, members are committed to the Club and attend meetings
monthly to coordinate community projects and fundraising activities.
The Zonta Club of
Melbourne and Zonta International is focused on advancing the status
of women globally, nationally and locally.

FRIENDS OF ZONTA
(FOZ)
In the effort to bring
attention to the crime of domestic abuse, in 1991, the Zonta Club of
Melbourne renamed Zonta’s Young Women in Public Affairs scholarship
to honor Monica Jean Campbell, a high school senior killed by her
boyfriend. We established the Monica Jean Campbell Scholarship
Fund at The Community Foundation
for Brevard. Our hope is to
raise enough funds to award the scholarship in perpetuity,
regardless of our annual fundraising success.
All
Zonta club members share a sense of purpose in providing service and
educational opportunities to the women of Brevard County, and we
realize that many members of the community share our sense of
purpose but are not able to become a member of the Zonta Club of
Melbourne, so we’ve started an elite group called Friends of
Zonta (F.O.Z.). We would like to invite you to join by making a
donation to the Monica Jean Campbell Scholarship Fund at The
Community Foundation of Brevard.

Membership Benefits
Members are encouraged to participate in the numerous
opportunities for fellowship with other Zontians. From Intercity
meetings to Area Workshops, District Conference to International
Convention, Zontians are fun-loving and sociable! With the
International Directory, Zontians are able to plan visits with other
Zonta clubs as they travel or vacation throughout the world.
Friendships that grow beyond the local level truly make the Zonta
Club of Melbourne Area an International club!
